Canyoning in Leirdalen, Jostedalen

There are several deep canyons in the Luster region, formed by melting water from the glacier. Canyoning is a mix of different techniqes to be able to move in a canyon. While you are walking alongside the river, climbing nature’s own bridges, around stone pots in different shapes and sizes, and over and under huge rocks, the sound of the waterfalls will follow you all the way.

You get to Leirdalen by private car (45 minutes) or with the Glacier Bus leaving Solvorn 09:05 every day. The bus returns to Solvorn 18:15.

Leirdalen Bre og Juv offers guided canyoning in Leirdalen. The landscape requires you to go under and over huge rocks, and some basic climbing, consider your physical condition. The terrain is rough, so you need to bring good walking boots. There will be a break halfway down the canyon, so please bring lunch. Dry clothing might be useful.
