Horseback Riding in Jostedal.

Fåberstølsgrandane in Jostedal is the largest glacial meltwater plain in mainland Europe. Thousands of tonns of sand and silt are every year transported with the river from the glacier and deposited here. Birch are growing around. In this spectacular landscape you can join a guided horsebackride. Meeting point is the glacier center.

You get to the glacier center with private car (45 minutes) or with the Glacier Bus leaving Solvorn 09:05 every day. The bus returns to Solvorn 18:15.
 

Raudskarvfjellet turriding will take you on a memorable ride into a unique and untouched area surrounded by high mountains. We will take you into an area which is nearly impossible to reach by foot, because of the fast running, icy-cold rivers. Before we set off, we let you groom the horse, so that you can get to know each other. During the ride we stop for a break so that you can enjoy the scenery as well as your hard earned lunch (BYO).

The trip takes 5 hours. 700 NOK. Family discount. From 10 years old. Season only 1st July to 15th august.
