There are sheeps at Eplet every summer. They are living a happy life and are
of supreme quality. This winter I wanted to find out how valuable the fur

A small memory of Pia and Polly 2008 enclosed in a small blue plastic box.

The long adventures voyage started in local center Sogndal with the public
bus to Bergen.

After passing Bergen, Tromsø, Oslo and the canari islands (!), the blue box
arrives in kulturhauptstadt Europas. Still a long way to go... |

One thousand years ago the Vikings went 2500 km cross Europe to trade
in a town they called "Miklagard", which litteraly means "The big town".
Locally it was called Konstantinopel, and this was the place where the asian
silk routes, african caravanroutes and the european trade network met.

The great Bazar in todays Istanbul is a direct continuation of the the old
trade market. I thought this must be a good place to get the right price for
my exclusive fur. And I was right. The guys are discussing how much silk I
can get in exchange. |

|
A happy moment. After 6 weeks of travelling my mission is completed. I am
the happy owner of a small piece of silk with gold thread. The owner tells
me that silk is used as decoration when people get married. And I realize I
have gotten myself a new project :)
