From Torp Airport - Landing in Norway with Ryan Air, you still have a long way to go to get to the fjords. But you dont need to rent a car. Train from Torp to Drammen station every hour. The busstation is a 5 minutes walk from the train station. 
All trains Oslo-Bergen arrives Drammen 30 minutes after leaving Oslo.
All expressbusses Oslo-Sogndal arrives Drammen 50 minutes after leaving Oslo.

To find the way through the jungle of public transport timetables I am making a timetable for the reception at Eplet every year. This is what I use if you ask me where I want to send you. Dont be afraid, it IS really complicated!

From Sogndal to Solvorn

From Sogndal you take local bus to Solvorn indicated in the first timetable on this page. It runs a few times day. On Saturdays and Sundays there are only busses from middle of june to middle september. If you come before or after that you are stucked at Eplet in the weekends. It is a nice feeling :) The bus takes 20 min, cost 39 NOK. Ask the driver to let you off at Eplet in Solvorn. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the house. The village has only 200 habitants and the hostel is impossible not to find. 

I can also pick you up in Sogndal for 100 NOK pro person. But we prefare that you support the bus service. Need to be booked one day in advance, tel: + 47 41649469.
